•Started his early days in the field of engineering, was in charge in setting up the first computerized padi drying project using the husk as a fuel, and conversion of the burned husk into carbon for export in the year 1986 -87 under an American Co for Lembaga Padi Negara in Parit Buntar, Perak and Pasir Putih, Kelantan. He later joined a Japanese company, Sato Kogyo Co. Ltd as a building financial adviser completing a few major Japanese projects and was awarded for contribution of great improvement in techniques for Sony Electronic and Sony Mechatronic projects.
•In 1992 he decided to venture into his own adventure, cosmetic exploration while being a Managing Director of Fenadini (M) Sdn Bhd.
For the last 16 years he has constantly worked and researched in the efficacy of natural and herbal cosmetic products. Having in-depth study in Ayurvedic science and Western cosmetic technology, he persistently worked and researched year after year with doctors and scientist to produce high quality, effective natural products that could naturally produce results upon treatment or application on human skin. To produce one cream hundreds of in-vivo and in-vitro test was carried out. His ideology that money or time does not matter; the positive-end result is all that matters has finally created a sensation in the cosmetic market. In the beginning, he tried to get cosmetic product manufacturers to produce products for the company. Unfortunately, most of the products were not producing results as claimed by the manufacturers. Later he decided to use formulations done by western scientists provided by raw material manufacturers support group. These too did not give the results that he needed for the Asian market. However, credit should be given to the western raw material manufacturers and their scientist who happened to lay the necessary foundation for us to start our own R & D., as the founder’s previous experience was only in the engineering The visit to meet scientist from Europe and learning Ayurvedic science from India really opened lots of avenue to explore.
Since there were no other options left, to realize his dreams to produce high quality but natural based products, in the year 1992 he started the R & D and 2 years later, produced a number of personal care products, which were well accepted in the market. Nevertheless, the quality was not to his expectations. Therefore, he continued the R & D., not knowing that it could take almost 16 years to perfect the formulation and still hope do better in the future. Later working with Dermatologist he was able to further understand the needs of patients’ medically and scientifically particularly in the skin treatment. Emerged Cosmeteq Skincare N Researchers, a GMP Status Manufacturing Plant with a range of products for skincare and hair care consisting of Face care and body care. Thus far, the case studies have yielded very positive results using Cosmeteq products.
According to the founder Mr. GV Gnanasheker, formulating a skincare product is quite easy, but, formulating a good quality product that is effective, producing the required results in human skin application, yet having the limitation of choosing the natural and discounting the suspected cancerous ingredients to work with is an incredible task. One has to break away from the conventional system to find new ideas, to spend many lonely hours reading, researching and developing the formulations.

To manufacture effective cosmetic products first we have to understand why our skin ages and the free-radical theory of aging, not only that our body manufactures the free radicals. Free radicals are oxygen molecules that have lost an electron in interaction with other molecules.. They are also unleashed by external factors, including sunlight, cigarette smoke, air pollution inflammation caused by harsh detergents, rough treatment, bad cosmetics and diseases. Our skin consists of three basic layers: the stratum corneum, the epidermis, the dermis, and fat cells. The epidermis also contains cells called melanocyte that produces melanin, which determines the color of the skin. When we are young, cell turnover occurs about every 28 – 30 days, as we get older the process takes 45 to 50 days, which is one of the reasons our skin loses the freshness of youth.
The pioneering work of researcher Leonard Hayflick, PhD., on free radical theory of aging says if we can reduce or eliminate cell damage, we could significantly reduce the effect of aging. According to Denham Herman, M.D, Ph. D., at the University of Nebraska back in the mid 1950s free radicals damage healthy cells. Collagen, a protein, is one of the substances that give our skin its youthful suppleness and firmness is mercilessly attacked by free radical leads to a chemical change called cross-linking that makes the skin stiff and inflexible.
When sunlight strikes our skin, free radicals are created. These free radicals turn on the little innocent molecules called transcription factors, causing them to migrate to the center of the cell called the nucleus. Once they get into the nucleus, they turn on DNA for production of various chemicals; in the case of transcription factor NFk-B these chemicals are pro-inflammatory which, of course, is harmful to the cell, and accelerates the aging process. When stimulated by ultraviolet light, these transcription factors can turn on AP-1 and it begins producing collagen-digesting enzymes that can leave tiny defects in the skin. Gary fisher, Ph. D., a researcher dermatologist at the University of Michigan termed this process “microscarring,” and it is the birth of a wrinkle.
Powerful antioxidants like alpha lipoic acid, Dimethyl MEA, (DMAE) Natural AHA, Glycolic acid, certain vitamins, amino acids family like neuropeptide, herbal, flower, plant extracts and other natural substances can actually stop or reverse free radical damage and put an end to sub clinical inflammation and micro-scarring or at least able to repair the damages.
